The boy extends his right arm in front of the girl's waist, and they join right hands. Left arms are bent so that left hands are at about shoulder level; thumbs and forefingers of the left hands touch. The other three fingers are straight and together. Right hands do not release throughout dance. 1-2: Step on R to right side. 3-4: Brush with L in front of R and hold (weight remains on R). 5-6: Step on L, crossing it in front of R, and hold. 7: Close R to L. 8: Bend both knees slightly. 9-14: Repeat 1-6. 15: Step to the left with R, crossing behind L. 16: Step with L to left side. 17-18: Step on R, crossing it in front of L, and hold. 19: Close L to R. 20: Bend both knees slightly. 21-26: Repeat 15-20. On 26, partners pivot to face each other. After pivoting, the boy should be standing with his back towards the center of the circle. During the next 12 counts, partners change places moving CW. 27: Leap backwards onto L. 28: Step forwards onto R. 29-30: Close L to R and hold. 31-38: Repeat 27-30 twice more. On 38, put weight on L. The boy should now be facing the center of the circle, and the girl should be standing with her back towards the center of the circle. 39-44: Repeat 1-6. 45-50: Repeat 15-20. The partners should now both be facing CCW around the circle (the original position).
