Clara studied at the University of California at Berkeley, receiving a Master's degree in Art History and Classical Archaeology, with a minor in Art Practice.
The rooster is a sort of linoleum mosaic. The steps involved in making this piece were as follows: (1) Clara made a reduced-scale drawing. (2) Portions of the drawing were enlarged to full-scale. (3) The linoleum was marked using the full-scale drawings. (4) The linoleum was cut. (5) The pieces were glued onto a piece of plywood.
